Multispectral and hyperspectral imaging collects and processes information from across the electromagnetic spectrum.

The goal of spectral imaging is to obtain the spectrum for each pixel in the image of a scene, with the purpose of finding objects, identifying materials, or detecting processes.

Study deforestation and changes in vegetation type. If forests continue to be disturbed or cleared, they will continue to release carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. Currently, forest loss and damage is the cause of around 10% of global warming. Detect invasive plants, plant diseases, and even extinction.

Ocean currents distribute heat across the globe, regulating temperature and weather. A healthy ocean is necessary to regulate climate and reduce climate change impacts. With hyperspectral imagery we can detect emulsified oil from oil spills in real time. With the ability to research organic material in the ocean the possibilities for the ocean’s health is unlimited.

Predict weather disasters

Forecast the likelihood of volcanic eruptions through collecting data on the vulnerability of landscapes to earthquake hazards with fault and demographic data. Identify threats of landslides or provide early warning of droughts. Be able to prepare your communities and home in the face of increasing weather disasters.
